Morgan + Joel knew they wanted to keep things sweet + simple, spending our time together capturing a few photos that felt true to themselves. We spent a quick 30 minutes walking along the riverside trails that they have spent hours on together just down the street from their house, popped up to one of their favorite neighborhood lookouts, + stopped at home to give their first baby, Morro (the cutest pup ever), a little moment in the spotlight.

Read MoreOh friends, this wedding story is an extra sweet one for me for so many reasons. Like everyone else in the wedding industry this year, my calendar was completely flipped on it’s head in early 2020 in response to COVID-19. In a year where I was anticipating to celebrate alongside amazing couples all year long + across multiple states, I found myself hunkered down at home with my camera tucked away + unused for the longest amount of time since starting this business.
Conversations with couples turned from finalizing timelines, chatting about photo dreams + location scouting for bomb drone shots turned into tearful phone calls talking through plan B… and then plan C… on + on until dream days were stripped alllll the way down to the very barest of bones of a wedding day. Two people, in love, making the decision to commit for better of worse in the midst of one of those “worse” seasons.
And that’s where this sweet, sweet wedding day story starts.
